1. Speech Therapy
Speech therapy incorporates enhancement of communication skills and further use of meaningful language as a way of expression.
2. Occupational Therapy
It focuses on the acquisition of skills like eating, bathing, grooming, dressing etc. that facilitates independence in activities of daily living that are pivotal for the self-growth of a child. In addition to this, OT also compromises of activities that focus on various aspects related to autism including hyperactivity, fine and gross motor abilities, attention etc. It also incorporates sensory integration therapy (SI) that helps in reducing the sensory issues children with autism commonly face.
3. Special Education
Special education is aimed at improving the academic, social and self help skills of individuals with special needs.
4. Sensory Integration
Sensory integration refers to the processing, integration, and organisation of sensory information from the body and the environment. Simply put, this means how we experience, interpret and react to (or ignore) information coming from our senses.
